IS RON PRINCE IN AT K-STATE?
According to Virginia Sports (via Golden Tornado) Ron Prince is a shoo-in to be the next head coach at K-State. Ian, help us with this one, please: why Prince? And would someone thank Bill from ATL Eagle for putting all the cartoon analogies for ACC teams in one convenient location?

Prince may be in at K-State. Meanwhile, here's the ACC done in Simpsons analogies.

I’m assuming you’ve soldiered through any of my various and sundry posts about the failings of the UVA offense throughout this season and last. You can imagine the great joy the consummation of this would bring, but I’m still dumbfounded. Jim Leavitt basically created a legitimate BCS threat from nothing (not former Kansas State nothing, but literally “no program at all” nothing). Ron Prince administered what maybe was the 7th-most feared offense in the ACC. Credit where credit’s due- Prince is a great OL coach posing as an OC. I would imagine the progress of Elton Brown and Brick were his doing. But everything else that went down under his regime was Mezosoic Era; his idea of innovation was a QB draw in a five-wide set, which is familiar to anyone who’s played NCAA 2005 with a mobile quarterback.
I’m sure K-State will be lauded for taking on a young, black head coach, particularly since it’s not a “death job.” Marques Hagans seems similar to the mobile, 5’10" QB that K-State always seems to have. And the fact that Prince played at a JUCO and knows his way around that scene will definitely help him out if KSU sticks to their M.O. Hopefully, this will herald a return to the riverboat gambler offense that Bill Musgrave ran in 2001-2002 at UVA, and a bright future in college football where The Orgeron is no longer the least qualified coach in the BCS conferences.

Ron Prince basically is a native Kansan; basically he grew up in Junction City, but was born in Nebraska. He is definitely the guy to lead this young and talented team the next few years. The word close to the hiring is that everyone fell in love with him including coach Snyder. This is his dream job. With this hire, KSU wanted long term. They got it.

Take a look @ Ron Prince in 2004! Graduated 7 players into the NFL! From 02 through 04 his offensive line broke records all over the nation for the least sacks combined in all 3 years total only 16 sacks! Also broke another NCAA football record for most rushing yards 111.07 per game! He lost every great player in 2005 and still managed to end up 6-5 still beating Florida State in Florida Geogia Tech and almost beating Miami Hurricanes #10 nationally 24-17!! This guy also graduated from my old high school from Junction City Blue Jays!! Coach Hill dominated 6A football!!! Junction City is also a very hard school to be apart of because it’s all army brats from all over the world!!! So everyone who lives in Junction City knows everyone is different!!! Prince also played at Dodge City CC who dominates JCCC football!!! Look at how many Pro Athletes come from Garden City CC and Dodge City CC!!! It’s amazing stats!!! Why do you think OU is so good? Because they also take these players from Dodge City and Garden City CC and there not the only schools who do this!!! Prince also learned offensive skills from coaches who are apart of the New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and San Fransico 49ers!!! He Is Ready To Be Head Coach and knows the Manhattan and Junction City and Fort Rily Areas!!! He’s Great for the Head Coaching Job At KSU!!! GIVE THIS PRINCE A CHANCE!!!!! 6-5 with this year with everyone gone from last year into the pros is AMAZING!!! Look @ the stats on PRINCE BEFORE JUDGING PRINCE AND THE 6A JUNCTION CITY BLUE JAYS FOOTBALL TEAM UNDER COACH HILL!!! I PROMISE “WILL NOT BE SORRY”!!!!! PRINCE IS RIGHT FOR RECRUITING QB’S, WIDE RECIVERS, TIGHT ENDS, OFENSIVE LINEMEN, CORNERBACKS, SAFETYS, SPECIAL TEAMS, PRINCE HAS BEEN AROUND LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW WHAT IT TAKES FOR SUCCESS TO BE COMPLETE!!!!

I’m definitely willing to give Prince a chance. If coach Snyder (who I am sure has a huge say behind the scenes) believes in the guy, then we KSU should give him a fair shot. That said, I am very surprised and nervous about this hire just because he came out of nowhere…

heh…i’m from Garden City, KS…the JUCOs in Dodge City AND Garden City get their great players from Florida’s juvinille system!!! All the problem children get sent to SW Kansas, mellow out for a year or two, play some good JUCO ball and then get scooped up to play big time ball. Anyway, you gotta love it. Go Kats.
