RUTGERS MAKES THE INSIGHT BOWL. HALLE-FREAKIN’-LUJAH.
For some, the Insight.com Bowl is sheer disappointment; for Rutgers, though, the climb up from the bottom has been tougher than swimming onto the Jersey shore while wearing concrete shoes.
Much deserved gigantic accolades go to Greg Schiano and the Scarlet Knights on securing the bowl berth and bringing some Camaro-driving, Loverboy-listening, Zoobas-pants-wearing flair to the game of college football again.

Mike Reno’s favorite college team, Rutgers, is in a bowl game. Headbands for everyone.

Yea verily, I post from the banks of the Raritan itself, where perhaps tens of the 25,000+ students who attend this fine institution are rejoicing over the news. I’ll be interested to see if the RU fanbase travels well (as a cynical and snobby daughter of the ACC, I’d be inclined to say it won’t, but there are a LOT of RU alumni, and even if a small percentage of them are fans, there could be more scarlet red in Phoenix than I think). At any rate, congrats to the team and hooray for the die-hards.
One can only imagine how Mr. Fulmer feels about all this.

I believe what you’re looking for is Zubaz pants. A sort of tiger stripe pattern in your teams most rediculous combination of colors possible. Those are simply Pink Floyd Pyjamas.
Despite our ACC friend’s assertions, I think Rutgers will travel very well, and there is much rejoicing going on in New Brunswick. And much less hair grease then you seem to think. Although, hey, thanks for noticing. =)

Exactly! We couldn’t actually find a pic, Kevin, so we had to sub the Pink Floyd pajama bottoms. If you have a pic, you’ll earn serious points on your EDSBS Frequent Flyer card by sending it our way.

The perfect complement to your finest sweater-vest:
How could Tressel bring himself to part with these wonderful pants? The lack of pockets meant he had no way to carry payments to star players’ parents.

Here in Scarlet Knights country (well, at least I live a few miles from Rutgers Stadium), you can take a look at famous RU alums in the Rutgers Hall of Fame. #1 on the list is James Gandolfini of The Sopranos.

Anyone have the Zubaz unis worn by the Arena League Tampa Bay Storm. A picture of Jay Gruden all dressed up would be wild nice.
