I thought the worse call was Leak’s last TD in regulation that was not reviewed. I think the replay shows that the ball was not over before his knee touched the ground. Do you have a video of that play?

No…but there wasn’t any indisputable evidence that it wasn’t. In short: we lucked out big time and we’re taking it.

The Gators have been called for less on excessive celebration.
Since when is dancing not a penalty (regardless of duration)?
When you’re a team like Vandy, you need all the breaks to go your way to get a big win. There’s a common thread in Vandy’s “moral victories” and its not the refs.

Don’t blame you Orson. After that hose job you guys took up in Knoxville last year, you’re owed one.
I think we have a crew of officials in the SEC who enjoy being a part of the game.

I agree with Dawgy. We’re owed for this one, too. I still have my Dadgummit shirt, dadgummit.

Pace, there is comparable dancing/celebration after every tackle, whether big or small. Reasons it should not have been called: 1) He was not near a Gator player, 2) it lasted approximately one second, and 3) it was after one of the biggest touchdowns Vandy has had in a decade. Did Vandy get the short end of the stick? Sure, but there are so many of these “WTF?!” calls in this conference that one team doesn’t have the market cornered on getting the anal scepter from the zebras. Anyway, the better team won, and that’s that.

I love how Gottfried is going, “That’s a big, big mistake. What he does here is…” even though he clearly has no idea what the offense was, or that the ticky-tack nature of the celebration is about to make him look like an assclown.

SEC refs were in fine (sarcasm) form last weekend. There was also a ridiculous call in the Alabama – Mississippi State game where Alabama forced a fumble from their QB, picked the ball up and ran it in for a TD.
Turns out, they ruled it a sack eventhough the ball hit the ground while both the QB’s feet were on the ground. The only thing they could’ve called it was an incompletion or a fumble, but they somehow opted for a sack. The CBS crew was dumbfounded.
