Nobody seems to pay attention to this figure when it is quoted. Tennessee has had 13 players arrested or cited since the beginning of 2004. Actually, that’s incorrect. There have been 13 arrests or citations in that time period. Daniel Brooks had two of those.
Since the beginning of 2004.
Not saying that it’s okay or defending their actions, but it’s been over a span of over 19 months, not 13 arrests this year or 13 arrests this off-season. The figure includes arrests and citations (see underage drinking).
Should the situation be tolerated? Of course not.
Neither should mischaracterizations of the facts.

I guess the shackles on our guys ankles really have hurt team speed this year. Apparently, Brooks had no intention of trying to straighten up and be a football player. Glad to see this one go, but sadly it’s taken this long to be done. I don’t think I’ll ever understand how guys with talent can piss away an opportunity of a lifetime. We’ll see Brooks again, probably out West somewhere, and all will be forgotten.

its been two quarters since a buckeye got arrested! I’m sure that will change but Columbus PD damn well look the other way until the end of the season!
