FUN WITH LES MILES

After a collapse like last night, we knew we could expect alot of farking and snarking about the coaching job of Les Miles. The internet has not disappointed.

KING KAUFMAN SAYS LSU LET DOWN THE HURRICANE VICTIMS

King Kaufman, the excellently sarcastic sports columnist for Salon, offers us his take on the LSU defeat today. With his tongue firmly planted in his cheek, he opines that if an LSU victory no doubt would have been heralded as uplifting to the downtrodden and displaced Katrina survivors, then should the press be talking about how the Tigers really let the survivors down. He offers us this fake quote which should have been reported this morning:

“I know it’s only a football game, but I was really counting on LSU to lift me up in my hour of need, give me a little joy, and then they go and give up 17 unanswered points. Thanks a lot.”

CAJUN HOSPITALITY!

And they wonder why it’s so hard to find a bus when you need it in Lousiana.

GAMECOCK QB OUT AGAINST AUBURN

Blake Mitchell suffered a high ankle sprain in the third quarter of the game on Saturday against Troy. Consequently, he is doubtful for the matchup against Auburn this week leaving those duties to Antonio Heffner. Leave it to the Head Ball Coach to look at the bright side:

The way our pass protection is right now, I don’t know if Blake could last anyway

FIRST GILLIGAN, NOW MAXWELL SMART

Another one of my childhood rerun favorites has passed away. I’m getting misty just thinking about the Nude Bomb. Rest in Peace Don Adams. We here at EDSBS will miss you… by that much.
