ESPN DOES PROFILE OF BRODIE CROYLE
If you are a Bama fan, you’ll want to read the whole Ivan Maisel profile piece on Brodie Croyle, Alabama’s talented by oft injured leader. For those less interested, you’ve got to at least see the money quote from the article by offensive coordinator Dave Rader.
“He loves to play football. Out of 10 players, there aren’t three who love it like he does.”
What exactly does that mean? Is that a compliment? I mean saying your quarterback has such fire that he’s in the top 30 % of football players is a strange.

Brodie Croyle has top 30% heart and fire.

Doesn’t that actually mean he has only top 70% heart and fire? If there aren’t three out of ten that love it like him, that means 7 others do.

Not to change the subject, but the picture in this article is begging for some mocking. It’s the kind of thing you never live down.

Those dudes must have heard that Mangino couldn’t make it to the post-game buffet.
That quotation is fucking hysterical. And I mean, hysterical is really getting it. What does that mean?!?!?!???!!!?! If you had to make a list of a team’s players and then rank their respective levels of enthusiasm, you’d want your QB in the top 30%, for sure. I think you’d also want your starting RB, your center, your middle linebacker, a defensive tackle, and a defensive end. You’d probably want your walk-on kicker up there, too, because it’s always great when a doofy white guy is going crazy on the sideline.

Cheap shot. I don’t trust football coaches who make sense when they talk to the media. It means they’re not thinking about the game. I would be damn happy if the whole Bama coaching staff only said, “Score touchdowns, win games,” in a low, Neanderthal voice during press conferences.

What picture is begging for mocking? You can find pictures of that pose featuring every quarterback that’s ever thrown a pass.
Example A: ND’s own Brady Quinn

He was talking about the Kansas picture three Jayhawk LBs looking leaping in the air. It, indeed, is begging for mocking.

Okay, I’m a doofus. I thought he was trying to compare Brodie’s picture with the Kansas picture (which is definetely a funny one).
