A COLLEGE BOARD WORTH READING
We don’t check on most college team forums, and with good reason: if we wanted to read page after page of self-reinforcing bullshit, insults, and look at photoshopped pictures of Kellen Winslow Jr…well, we’d read our own site, frankly.
But there is an exception, as much as it pains us to admit: Warchant, the Florida State forum where, believe it or not, football fans of all stripes engage in spicy but well-thought-out analysis. Don’t believe us? Regardez , and behold the wonders of the internet.

Admittedly that is a nicely thought out and objective post… which is surprising. But that might well be an aberation. I’d reserve judgment on Warchant until you see at least two good posts.

It’s an informative post, but it’s like a kid who works out a difficult algebra formula correctly but can’t understand what the answer means.
What everyone isn’t rightfully grasping is that the Urban Meyer offense is going to tear the SEC a new asshole. Whether it happens sooner or later, it WILL happen. And people aren’t asking the important question: WHY will it happen? (USA Today’s story yesterday also fails to grasp the point).
The answer is that SEC offenses–with one or two exceptions–have the sophistication level of my Pop Warner football teams from fifth grade. As a result, SEC defenses are NOT USED to defending teams with sophisticated offenses where, for instance, running backs and tight ends are lining up all over the place and quarterbacks have more than their primary option to throw to. I said this would happen to some extent last season with Al Borges coming to Auburn. Well, Meyer’s offense makes Borges’ look like Atari 2600. When you add in the talent that Florida has, it’s going to be sick.
