Stewart Mandel’s Mailbag is up and running, baby. He’s killing time like the rest of us, but we’ll always link to this, if only because Stewart published one of our letters once, and we haven’t washed that email account since.
The Big East Conference has reportedly agreed to settle its dispute with the ACC over its pirating of their best teams for 5 Million Dollars. I guess the Big East lost some of their righteous indignation when they decided to go steal away Conference USA’s best squads. Isn’t hypocracy great!
I was going to talk about coaches on the hot seat… but it’s only May and everyone is just finishing up with spring practice. Hope still springs eternal. That said, things will slowly stew over the summer making it uncomfortably warm by August and there are a few coaches out there that might want to take this hiatus to polish up the resume. That’s why this edition of coaches on the hot seat shall be dubbed “Coaches in the Crock Pot”.
Who’ll be feeling the heat this fall?
Orson Swindle and Stranko Montana are two men pushing thirty who should know better than to run a college football blog, but evidently don't. Both graduated from the University of Florida, and both agree that college football is far too important to be left to the professionals.
